Justice Reform Speakers

The United States has the largest prison population in the world. In 2010, Michelle Alexander’s ground-breaking book “The New Jim Crow” spotlighted the current age of Mass Incarceration. But the concept has been promoted since Alexis de Tocqueville studied US jails and penitentiaries in the 1830’s.  The school to prison pipeline continues to cost our society in ways seen and unseen. Meanwhile, police brutality disproportionately affects black Americans. These speakers are rethinking criminal justice, rehabilitation, and policing.
