Christian Nationalism, Up Close
How Faith and Freedom Collide in Today’s Political Landscape Monte was raised inside the worldview now driving some of the most urgent political fights in America. She breaks down how Christian Nationalism uses fear, nostalgia, gender control, and religious language to shape public life — connecting Dominionism, the New Apostolic Reformation, and Project 2025 to the lived reality of the households these ideas are built in. A lived-experience map of where faith ends and authoritarianism begins.

The Politics of Obedience
How Control Disguises Itself as Virtue Before people vote against their own rights or defend abusive authority, they are often taught obedience as a virtue. Monte explores how religious, political, and family systems train people to distrust their instincts and confuse control with love — and how curiosity becomes a form of resistance. Drawn directly from her own upbringing and her work with cult-recovery experts.

Feminism After Purity Culture
Bodily Autonomy, Gender Control & Self-Ownership Monte examines how purity culture, religious shame, and traditional gender ideology teach women and marginalized people to shrink and disconnect from their own bodies — and how the tradwife movement and the radicalization of young men reinforce each other online and in church. She connects personal experience to the broader fights over reproductive freedom and political control, reframing feminism as the necessary work of self-ownership.

The Girl Who Bothered to Read
Media Literacy, Misinformation & Refusing to Be Manipulated Monte’s digital work runs on a disruptive premise: read the source material, ask better questions, refuse to be manipulated by fear. Having argued on the floor of the Cambridge Union — the oldest debating society in the world — she models how to engage hard cultural questions with rigor rather than slogans, and gives audiences practical tools for spotting manipulation in religious rhetoric, political branding, and viral outrage. -
My Body Is Mine
Body Image, Eating-Disorder Recovery & Movement as Healing Monte grew up in the “thin is in” era and a religious culture that taught her her body wasn’t her own. After losing 90 pounds she fell into an eating disorder — and learned that changing her body never fixed how she saw herself. Fitness became healing, not punishment. As a 2026 partner with To Write Love on Her Arms, she turns that story into a message about reclaiming your body, showing up for yourself, and protecting young people from the standards that damaged her. Pairs powerfully with her live music.

From Fundamentalism to Freedom
Deconstruction, Religious Trauma & Rebuilding Identity Leaving a high-control belief system isn’t just changing your mind — it’s rebuilding your identity, your relationships, and your understanding of truth. Monte shares her own journey out of fundamentalism and gives audiences language for the grief, anger, fear, and liberation that come when inherited certainty collapses and a more honest self emerges. A bridge between her faith work and her mental-health

Culture Critic, Educator, Musician, Former Alt-Right Christian Nationalist
Monte Mader grew up on a cattle ranch in rural Wyoming, raised by her father in a household where evangelical fundamentalism and far-right politics were inseparable. Her early life was defined by dogma, rigid gender roles, survivalist preparation, and fear-based morality — a world that left little room for dissent or curiosity. She pursued theological studies in Israel before personal experience, critical reflection, and the gentle questioning of friends led her to dismantle the worldview she had inherited.
She now uses her platform to show how Christian Nationalism operates emotionally, culturally, and politically. Her work spans theocratic politics, purity culture, white-washed American history, gender control, Dominionism and the New Apostolic Reformation, and the long process of rebuilding identity after leaving a high-control environment.
Monte hosts Flipping Tables, a podcast on religious deconstruction, biblical scholarship, and American history as it intersects with the current political climate, and Highway to Hell, a true crime, paranormal, and dark-tourism travel show. Through her “Coven of Curiosity,” live classes, and writing, she challenges audiences to ask harder questions and reject fear-based certainty. She is also a professional rock and metal vocalist who fronts the Nashville band The Big Sky, with a new resistance-music project — inspired by Linkin Park and Rage Against the Machine — releasing in 2026. She is writing her memoir, Enough, about childhood abuse, indoctrination, and the long road to freedom.
In 2026, Monte is featured at the 60th Anniversary National NOW Conference in Alexandria, Virginia — bringing her lived experience to one of the country’s most established feminist organizations at a defining political moment. As a speaker she is direct, emotionally resonant, and culturally precise. Her message isn’t simply about leaving a belief system. It’s about learning how to think, how to heal, and how to live with integrity once the old rules no longer apply.
